Soooo..... just when I thought that the celebration was over, it wasn't! I missed having my birthday last year with my husband and children because I flew out to Oregon unexpectedly for my darling grandma's funeral (I sure miss her) and was there on my birthday. My husband MORE than made up for it this year (especially since we have no income right now; but, he made a little bit go a long way). Anyway, he sneaked off on got some balloons (if you've seen some other birthday posts from our family, than you know how we have balloons at every one!), and a cookie cake. He even made sure that the colors on the cake and the balloons matched. Was this a big deal to him? No, he could care less, but he knows that I pay attention to those kinds of things. He loves me : )
He tied balloons in groups of 2 all over the house, but I only to pictures of 2 groupings:

We had a great evening with some great and dear and WAY too generous friends

And candles, not 36 candles, but candles that are supposed to look like the number 36 ; )
Well, I wish that I would have taken some more pictures, but I guess that we were just having too much fun ; )

Aw, that was sweet of him. And I'm right there with you on the balloons. I feel like it isn't REALLY a b-day without them. Especially coordinated ones. I think I missed your birthday on facebook??? So...happy birthday! Glad you had a good one.
