The Truth

As I was taking Braden to school a few days ago, he was pretty quite and staring out the window.  Then, he looked to Kelan and said, "What if Mom and Dad really get all the presents and put them under the tree and there is no Santa?"  

Kids know the truth, even if we don't say anything; but it is so much more fun to "play" along.  The window of magic is open for such a short amount of time, I just couldn't bare to have him know so soon.   AND, to have that window smashed for Kelan and Kenzie.  I have always said that I would never lie to my kids about Christmas and Santa.  So, I just asked, 

"Braden, why would you ask a question like that?"  

"Oh, I was just wondering, Mom."
