So, at the last minute, we thought we might go see a Cardinals game in St. Louis. We saw a few other sights while we were there. Since I lived in St. Louis for over 10 years growing up, there were several things I wanted to show the kids that we have never done on any of our other visits.
One is The Gateway Arch
Here we are walking up to it (FYI, these trees used to be a LOT smaller, not sure how they got so big . . . surely it cannot be because I have gotten so old!)

Another was to eat at Imo's Pizza. On our way from The Arch to Imo's these mini arches were all over celebrating the upcoming All Star Game to be in STL. Below you will see Spielberg "pitching", Socrates "batting" and Sunshine "batting" while wondering why her older brother is looking so crazy.
Thursday night we went to Busch Stadium to see the Cardinal's pay. It was my first time time in the NEW Busch stadium. So, a first for all of us.
Did I mention that it was HOT and HUMID! Sweat was literally pouring out of us. You can see little Sunshine's hair stuck to her face from the sweat!
The next day we went to AB to tour the plant. Socrates was really excited about this. He has an engineer's brain, so it was right up his alley. It was good too, because before the tour he kept asking where the kitchen (to make the beer) was. I told him that it was little bit bigger of an operation than that. Spielberg was just excited to get his pretzels and soda pop in the "hospitality room".
We enjoyed ourselves, and although short and I didn't get the chance to see any friends, or my sister, as we had planned, I enjoyed the family time a lot.

Very cute photos! My husband and I always try to take in several of our local teams (Orem Owls) games during the summer. Always a blast, but probably not nearly as exciting as St. Louis!
