Through the Eyes of a Child . . . my child!
Since spring every Sunday when I get ready to go to church, and actually put on something nice and some make-up, the boys, and especially Kelan tell me how "beautiful" I am. "Mommy, you are so beautiful!" For the last month, Kelan will say, "Mommy, I your hair is gorgeous!", "Mommy, you are so pretty!", "Mommy, I like your eyes!", "Mommy, your hair is beautiful!" and so on and so forth. Well, I have been feeling pretty good about myself since a week, or sometimes a day, does not pass without a very nice "compliment". We were in the drop-off line at school the other morning. There are two lines and out of the corner of my eye, I saw a car that had been all "tricked out". There were crazy purple hubcaps, it was lowered and all that other stuff. I thought to myself, "Wow, that is an ugly car." Surely you can see where this is going. Kelan screamed, "Braden, look at that car! It's beautiful!" Braden replied, "Yeah, it's gorgeous!" Needless to say, I wasn't feeling too great about myself any more! :)
