CRASH!

Well, most parents start being concerned about their kids crashing the car when their kids get to be around 15, and definitely 16. Well, Kelan is only 3 and it is now a REALITY! Today, after picking Braden up from school, we went to put gas in the car so we would not have to make the trip in the morning before school. After arriving at the gas station I realized that I did not not have my credit card; I had left in on the desk after making a purchase for new spyware online earlier that day. So, we raced home. We are now very low on gas and I did not want to run out of gas so I barely pulled into the garage, hopped out of the car and left the car running. I figured leaving the car running would use less gas than starting it up again and I was only going to be a second. Well, as I was walking through the kitchen I hear the big CRASH! My heart dropped and could not figure out what it was. Then, I walked into the garage. While I had been retrieving the credit card, Kelan had unbuckled himself from his car seat, got in the driver's seat and put the car in DRIVE! He crashed into the wall off the garage. Praise The Lord, because it could have been so much more worse! I would have not pulled it into the garage at all, then they would have gone through the yard and crashed through the fence! I could have parked further back and the damage could have been even worse. As it is, the only damage was a broken shovel, a smashed rolling seed spreader (for the grass) and a great big hole in our garage wall. Thankfully Kenzie and Braden were buckled in still so no one went flying. Quite an adventure. And, hopefully never again! I pray it is not preparation for something else, that is for sure.
