Loorakeets: all three kids got to feed these little fellows.  These birds landed on their arms and heads.  Braden was "scared" (his own word), Kelan and Kenzie thought it was hilarious.  
We were able to get so close to the animals, it was great!
This little Lemur sat here watching us for a long time
We thought this giraffe was close . . . . then he started to walk towards us and . . .
he came right up to us.  And trust me, he was a he, but I'm fairly certain you do not want to see a picture of the proof . . . nor did I want to take a picture of the proof.
He was fascinated with Mackenzie.

We ran up to the zoo today because the kids just LOVE animals.  On the way it started to pour down rain.  As much as I wanted to go home, we continued on the path.  As we pulled into the parking lot, school busses were all pulling out because of the rain.  Well, about 10 minutes later, the rain stopped.  There were so many animals out today and so few people.  It was a great time for the four of us.
