Poor Little Baby!

Wednesday a friend and I went to the pool with the kids. This pool is a great place for kids to play and have a great time. There is a tire-swing on the water play structure. Kenzie LOVES the swing. She would swing the entire time, if I let her. On Wednesday she and Kelan swung for a long time. The did not want to get off. But, the time had come and I did not want her to get sick. When I took her off the swing and set her in the water, she was so dizzy she could not even stand up! She staggered to the left, staggered to the right and the back to the left. I picked her up. Looked at her in her sweet little face with a big smile and asked, "Did you have fun?" As she was nodding yes, her eyes got big and up came breakfast all over the two of us and straight into the pool. I moved as fast as I could to the side to get out and here came some more, all over the side of the pool. We got out and ran for the bathroom and as soon as we got to the sink, she had more to share with it. After the last episode of revisiting her earlier consumption, she looked at me with a little tear and said, "I swung to long." About 10 minutes later she was totally fine. Needless to say, they had to evacuate the pool and shock it. Everyone had to leave as the pool was only going to be open for another hour. And, of course, I got all of the "loser-mom" looks from other moms who obviously are more adequate moms than I am (don't worry, I have long since grown accustomed to those looks). For the rest of the day Kenzie told everyone about her story. First thing she said to Dad when she saw him, "I threw up in the pool today." Fortunately, he already new the story. Next time, I think Kenzie and I will both be in agreement: not so much swinging!
