i have been a little "absent" lately from blogging, but not from lack of personal activity.

(not to mention cranky and short-tempered) . . .
it is all for a good cause

| taken around 10-10/12 weeks |
we are due july 8, or around there.
as our our current line-up of children is 10, 8 and 6 (7 by then), we thought that our family was finished growing.
however, our Sovereign Lord had other plans.
since i am over 35, i am now considered a "high-risk" pregnancy and the doctors have me concerned about more than what i ought to be, with the statistics of downs syndrome and other trisomy diseases.
(sure would thirst for your prayers).
however, ultimately, i know that that My Savior is in just as much control of knitting this bundle together as all our other children, His ways are oh so much higher than mine and he truly does know what is best for our family.
i rest in Him (what a wonderful place to be!)

I have a very hard time letting the enemy put doubts in my head and rob me of bits of my joy. I did it with this pregnancy. I pray that you will be able to put the worries aside and thoroughly experience the blessing of this pregnancy the way you should and the way I wished I could have every second that I didn't. Is your doctor a Christian? Mine is and never once uttered any words about "high-risk" or anything, and I'm over 35. He even waved a hand in the air in dismissal when I voiced concern about a 4th (or 5th, etc. who knows?!) c-section, saying he does 6, 7, 8, etc on women all of the time. He's an older, wiser man and knows more than I do that God is in control. I'm so happy for you guys. We have loved so much how old our kids are (11, almost 7, almost 5) with this baby - how much they are able to understand and appreciate. AND just think about how many happy helpers you're going to have this time around. This is the way to go, I think!
Oh wow, congrats! I'm so happy you are relaxing in His grace and promises. God has truly blessed you with another bundle and I look forward to hearing all about him or her!
Congratulations on your new little one-to-be! I'm so excited for you! I found our white mini crib at babiesrus.com. They do not sell it in stores. They also had some on amazon. It is smaller than a regular size crib, which is great for smaller rooms. My little guy is pretty big so he'll probably outgrow it by 18 mos to 2 yrs. That's when we'll move him to a big boy bed anyway so it's not a problem for us. Good luck with your pregnancy! I will be praying for all to go well. Try to relax and rest in His promises, knowing He's in control. Enjoy this precious time.
Take care!
